Welcome to Oakdale — The Cowboy Capital of the World

Oakdale is a charming community of 20,675 people. The city was founded in 1871 and is located in the east-central portion of the Central Valley, adjacent to the foothills of the Sierra Nevada, it’s location is 90 miles between beautiful Yosemite National Park and the Pacific Ocean with a moderate climate ranging from the mid 50’s in the winter and summer temps from the mid 80’s that make Oakdale an enjoyable place to call home year around.

Oakdale offers a small town feel and is proud of its cozy atmosphere in a balanced community of homes and commercial developments that offer both Raley’s and Save Mart Shopping Centers, museums, a variety of services and recreation such as the Oakdale Golf & Country Club, the Royse Memorial Swimming Pool, and the Oakdale Municipal Airport. Oakdale’s slogan is “Cowboy Capital of the World” home of the Annual Oakdale Rodeo!
